摘要: The famous Horn conjecture, proved in late 1990s, provides a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of hermitian matrices A, B, C with A+B=C in terms of inequalities among a triple sequences of real numbers. The inequalities also correspond to the nonvanishing Littlewood-Richardson coefficients for certain complex Grassmannians. In this talk, we will revisit the inequalites for a new viewpoint. This is my joint work in progress with Frank Sottile and Mingzhi Yang.

报告人简历：李长征，中山大学教授，主要研究Gromov-Witten不变量理论与镜像对称猜想。2009年博士毕业于香港中文大学，2009-2016年间曾分别在韩国高等研究院、东京大学Kavli IPMU、韩国基础科学研究所几何物理中心从事科研工作。获得国家自然科学基金优秀青年基金。部分研究成果发表在J. Eur. Math. Soc., Adv. Math., Math. Ann, J. Differ. Geom., Tran. AMS, IMRN等数学国际期刊上。
