题目:Recent advance for incompressible MHD modeling, numerics and analysis

摘要:As an important branch of modern physics, Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) has close connections in technical sciences such as plasma physics, metal liquids, astrophysics, metallurgy, aerospace, and controlled thermonuclear fusion. Especially in recent years, MHD has received great attention as a research foundation in multiple key cutting-edge application fields. This report mainly introduces some recent works on models of incompressible MHD and their numerical methods, including the modeling and numerical analysis of thermally driven MHDs, two-phase MHD, vector potential MHD model models, as well as some challenging computational problems driven by applications.
报告人简介:毛士鹏,中科院数学与系统科学研究院研究员、博士生导师,中科院大学岗位教授。2008年博士毕业于中科院数学与系统科学研究院,2008-2012先后在在法国国家信息自动化研究院(INRIA)以及在瑞士苏黎世高工(ETH Zurich)做博士后和研究助理。主要研究兴趣为有限元方法及其应用,多物理场耦合计算,计算流体力学和磁流体力学等。在 Math. Comp., Numer. Math.、SIAM系列,M3AS 等杂志上发表论文80余篇,曾获中科院院长奖,中科院朱李月华优秀教师奖等,入选中科院青促会会员,主持和参加十余项基金委和科技部项目。
