报告摘要：In this presentation, I will discuss recent advances in determining the number of positive solutions for a particular elliptic system. This system arises naturally in several important physical models, including Bose-Einstein condensate theory and nonlinear optics. Our findings reveal several interesting phenomena: the existence of multiple positive solutions in certain parameter regimes, precise solution counts in specific cases, and the monotonic dependence of solution numbers on system parameters across different regions. This is joint work with Yongtao Jing, Fanqin Liu, Haidong Liu, Yanyan Liu, Juncheng Wei, Zhangjian Yan.

报告人简介：刘兆理教授，首都师范大学二级教授，从事非线性分析方向的研究，教育部自然科学二等奖获得者，国家杰出青年基金获得者，国务院特殊津贴获得者，首都劳动奖章获得者。曾获教育部高校自然科学二等奖、山东省科技进步一等奖和自然科学二等奖，主持国家自然科学基金杰出青年科学基金项目、国家自然科学基金重点项目、面上项目等，主要研究方向为非线性分析，在临界点理论以及椭圆型方程解的存在性、多重性、变号性等方面做出了多项有意义的研究工作，在研究解的变号性方面系统地发展了下降流不变集方法。在Indiana University Mathematics Journal，Communications in Mathematical Physics，Advances in Mathematics，Journal of Functional Analysis等国际著名学术期刊上发表了一系列具有很高学术价值和理论意义的研究成果，引发和启示他人一系列后续的研究。担任Topological Methods in Nonlinear Analysis、Analysis in Theory and Applications、Journal of Mathematical Study、数学进展、纯粹数学与应用数学等数学杂志的编委。
