报告题目：The development of technology companies in China and the impact of different factors on their development

摘要：The research work within these two years covered several research streams raised from the literature and was addressed to the important gaps existing in the academia and society. The topics are mainly related to how to improve and intensify the development of technology companies in China and how different factors affect their development. Specifically, the analysis was done based on the evaluation of (1) education level of entrepreneurs and its influence on business start/discontinuance; (2) the role of supply chain capabilities and their effect on tech firm performance; (3) the role of universities in generating tech spinoffs; (4) the knowledge of returnee entrepreneurs and their role in shaping innovative output; (5) the internationalization of tech companies. The analysis was done based on the quantitative and qualitative data derived for primary and secondary sources.

The overall goal of this study is to understand how to improve and intensify the development of the companies in China and how different factors affect their development. For the holistic evaluation, it was chosen individual level and organization level. From the individual level perspective, it was estimated how education level of entrepreneurs in China influences the business start/discontinuance and how the knowledge of entrepreneurs shapes the innovative output. From the company level perspective, it was estimated the role of supply chain capabilities and their effect on tech firm performance, shown the characteristics of the companies able to relocate in the markets of developed countries and the role of intermediaries creating the high-tech companies.
